The Donor Conspiracy
Razor Sharp Productions - 2006
This is a feature film that was part of the Film Tech Training Program at Albuquerque Technical-Vocational Institute (T V-I), now know as Central New Mexico Community College(CNM). The story is a dark comedy about two med students who stumble into a black market kidney harvesting operation. We had to dress quite a few sets for this film. We did two apartments in the same complex, two houses, several rooms in a hospital, a classroom, a university boardroom, a bar, a convenience store, a tunnel, a warehouse and a motel room. I worked on all the sets in Los Lunas, and some of the sets in Albuquerque. I also made some of the props. Rosalie's apartment was covered in plastic since she was a neat freak and the surgeries were taking place in her bedroom. We got to see all of her apartment.

Curt and Gavin"s apartment had to show they were poor med students then transform as they made money from doing the harvesting of the kidneys. We never see their bedroom, but the apartment is laid out identically to Rosalie's. I created soda bottles, a cereal box, a newspaper and a pizza box full of money for these scenes.

We did some exteriors at an apartment complex where we also shot the laundry room. I made prop bleach bottles for this scene and Rosalie.
In the hospital I took lead on the hospital room. We then dressed it two different ways for our two characters. I got to display four of my photos as part of the room decor.First there was Lisa, who was very popular, then Padre who was very religious.
We also did a hospital office, the hallway and a supply room. I was the whole swing gang for the supply room. We only made a couple minor adjustments before shooting, but the scene was ultimately deemed unnecessary so it was cut from the final film.

The warehouse was a mechanics garage in Albuquerque. We had to make it look interesting empty then dress it as a make-shift operating room.
Originally Rosalie was supposed to keep her money in a cigar box so I created one for her, but then our Art Director wanted to use a guitar that he had rigged with a door for another film.
