Taco Potholder

Worsted weight yarn approximately:

2oz. chamois

2.5 yds dark brown

2.5 yds apple green

2.5 yds light orange

size H (5.00mm) crochet hook

Shell

Work 8 rounds of basic circle in chamois, finish off.

Fillings/Finishing

Fold circle in half with wrong sides together.

Join dark brown in first dc, and working through both loops of both halves: sc, hdc – 2 sts, sl st, sc – 2 sts, sl st, join green to brown, sl st, (3 dc), (3 dc), sc, (2hdc, sl st), join orange to green, sl st, 2 bouclé loops in each of the next 3 sts, sl st, join chamois to orange, sl st, sc – 6 sts, ch 7, join to first ch with so st to form ring, 14 sc in ch, sl st to first sc, sc – 6 sts, sl st, join orange to chamois, sl st, 2 bouclé loops in same st, 2 bouclé loops in each of next 2 sts, join green to orange, sl st, (2 hdc), sc, (3dc), (3dc), sl st, join brown to green, sl st, sc – 6 sts, sl st in end st, finish off.

Bouclé Loop

Insert hook in next st, swing 3rd & 4th fingers of non-hook hand forward under yarn, then back against the yarn so that a loop is formed over these fingers draw a loop through the st pulling it over top of 3rd finger, yarn over, draw through 2 loops, slip fingers out of the loop, fold loop forward to front of piece.
