Worsted weight yarn

Green

Yellow

Brown

Aluminum crochet hook size H (5.00mm)

Yarn needle

Make two complete trees.

Tree Body:

Beg Loop: Ch 3, join to form loop

Row 1: Ch. 3, 2dc, turn

Row 2: Ch 3, dc in same st, dc, 2dc in 3rd st, turn

Rows 3 – 17: Continue as above: Ch 3, dc in same st, dc across, 2dc in last st, turnTie off (35 sts.)

Glowing top:

Rnd 1: Join with sl st to top of last dc of first row, 9 dc in beg loop, sl st to top of 1st end st of first row, turn

Rnd 2: Ch 3 sl st to top of 2nd row st, dc in first dc, 2dc in next 4 sts, dc, ch, dc in next st, 2dc in each st to end, sl st in top of 2nd row end st

Tie off

Trunk:

Row 1: Join with sl st to 16th st of last row of tree body, ch 3, dc in next four sts, turn

Row 2: Ch 3, dc across, turn

Row 3: Ch 3, dc across

Tie off

Edge:

Put two trees together with right sides out.

Join green with sc, through both layers, where the yellow connects, sc down side of tree body, 2sc in 1st st bottom st (to round corner), sc across bottom of tree body, cut off

Tie on brown, continue sc around trunk, adding an extra st at each corner, cut offTie on green, continue sc around tree body, adding an extra st to round corner as before, cut off

Tie on yellow, continue sc around glowing top, join to 1st green edging st with a sl st

Tie off

Weave in all ends
