Miss Mary's Mid-Week MarketJust a few blocks North of the Los Lunas Rail Runner Station, at 417 N Highway 314, lies an understated building that is the home of Miss Mary's Mid-Week Market. Upon entering you are enveloped by a wonderland of bright and beautiful things. Surrounded by fabulous jewelry, great purses, sparkling rosaries, fun figurine jewelry holders and beautiful Mardi Gras style wall masks, you find Mary Richardson. An artist in her own right Mary has packed every inch of her shop with art and accessories, many created by local artisans. Even the bathroom of this cozy shop is filled with belly dancing attire, Victorian cards and spa products.The second room’s walls are covered by art and photography. During the months of March and April it will feature the paintings of Bosque Farms artist Susan V. Earl. Sue’s beautiful paintings are created in oils, pastels and acrylic. Her subjects include landscapes and her unique stylized people. In May there will be a tribute to the military for Memorial Day. Starting in March Mary is organizing weekly “hoola-cise” sessions at 2pm on Tuesdays. For $20 you can decorate your own hoola hoop to participate in this fun fitness activity. Mary has started a purse club. When you buy five of her elegant purses you get one free. Club cards are available at the store, while supplies last.Other planned events include a jewelry swap meet in late Spring and Saturday outdoor art fairs. How To Get ThereFROM I-25, EXIT 203:Exit the freeway and turn East, past Home Depot. Turn left, North, on Hwy 314 (just before the train tracks). Go two blocks. Miss Mary's Mid-Week Market is on the left. FROM HWY 314, SOUTH FROM ALBUQUERQUE AND POINTS NORTH: Drive South into Los Lunas. Miss Mary's Mid-Week market is on the right two blocks North of Main Street. FROM HWY 47, SOUTH FROM ALBUQUERQUE AND POINTS NORTH: Drive South through Bosque Farms, Peralta and Los Lunas to the Valencia Y. There's a traffic light at the Walgreen's, continue straight on Main Street (Hwy 6) to the train tracks. Turn right, North, on Hwy 314 (on the West side of the train tracks). Go two blocks. Miss Mary's Mid-Week Market is on the left. FROM THE LOS LUNAS RAIL RUNNER STATION: Hwy 314 runs parallel to the train tracks. Exit the Los Lunas Rail Runner Station , cross the tracks and use the light to cross Hwy 314 to access the sidewalk. Walk North two blocks past Main Street. Get Map
